Psalm 51

CAPTION
Today’s reading is one of the most sobering in Scripture... King David, a man after God's own heart, falls into grave sin. What begins with idleness and lust spirals into deceit, abuse of power, and ultimately murder. David's attempt to hide his sin only deepens the wound. Yet in Psalm 51, we hear his true repentance. He throws himself on God’s mercy: “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” No matter how far we’ve fallen, repentance is always possible. God's mercy is deeper than our failure: but it starts with honesty before Him.
